DAMASCUS VOICE

Growing up in the suburbs of the oldest City in Syria, Damascus Voice is a 25 year old rapper and lyricist  whose  homeland  and  history  has  shaped  him  into  the  hip-hop  artist  he is today. In his final year at high school when the war started, Damascus turned to hip-hop and writing lyrics as a way to express his thoughts and profound feelings towards the heartbreaking reality of living in a war zone. With the situation in Syria going from bad to worse, Damascus  felt  trapped,  living  in  fear,  surrounded by danger so he fled the country first on foot then by boat living in refugee camps throughout Europe.  Conscious Music Group was finally able to help him out of the refugee camp and into a small apartment where he’s been working on writing new music. His songs talk about peace, something which he desperately desires for his people and his homeland.
